Check Us Out! - Buffalo, NY Beer, Home Brew & Food Talk ...

In the past, there has been a bit of discussion here on Custom Brewcrafters.? I?ll be the first to admit that I have never been blown away by any of their offerings.? In fairness, I?ve only tried their Caged Alpha Monkey and their EPA. Both were good beers, just nothing out of the ordinary.? As I was reading through some information on the Rochester beer scene, I was pleasantly surprised to find several good reviews of Custom Brewcrafter?s Krysztoff, a baltic style porter.? This brew is part of their ?Signature Series?, which CB?s describe as ?beers that come along once in a lifetime.?

CB?s website description of Krysztoff reads: ?In the coldest months of winter, we reach for comfort food?and comfort drink. With this in mind, we created Krysztoff, a big, bold, Baltic-style porter. For this brew, we filled the mash-tun, twice, with the finest malted barley, crystal and chocolate malts. We then added Magnum and Mount Hood? ?

New York Cork Report describes the beer as a ?simply fantastic accomplishment?, as well as a ?mind-blowing example of how much progress our state?s beer culture has made.?

I had not heard of this beer until today.? Have you seen it on the shelves anywhere in Buffalo?? Better yet, have you tried it?? Let us know?.
