(AP) ? Adam Scott says his caddie's racial slur against former boss Tiger Woods was taken out of context and was not a distraction.

Scott showed in the final hour of the HSBC Champions on Saturday to charge back into contention.

Steve Williams was given the "Celebration of the Year" at the caddies' award party Friday night. In a night full of banter, Williams says his TV interview after Scott won at Firestone was done to "shove it right up that black a------."

Scott says the comments at the private party were not meant to leave the room. He says Williams' apology should be accepted.

On the golf course, Fredrik Jacobson stayed in front at this World Golf Championship with a 5-under 67, giving him a two-shot lead over Louis Oosthuizen, who had a 68. Scott finished birdie-birdie-eagle for a 69 to stay three shots behind.
